What are the differences among digital, analog, and HDTV?
Answer: The difference between analog and digital cable is in how the signal is delivered to a customer's home. The digital signal uses bits and bytes to deliver its message much like your computer. By doing so the message can be delivered in a much smaller space and therefore more channels and services can be added. Digital has a crystal-clear picture because it is an all or nothing technology -- either you get all the data that is sent or there is no picture -- this is unlike analog where you may have a snowy or distorted picture at times.

HDTV is a digitally delivered signal with 2 exceptions -- it is a higher-resolution picture and therefore requires more bandwidth to deliver, and the aspect ratio of a high-definition TV more closely resembles a screen at the movie theater.
